This is just a natural consequence of moisture evaporation—salts and minerals get released along with the water, and sometimes they’ll stick to the clay. The best way to clean it off is with a scrub brush and some warm water and vinegar. Since these are made in small batches - you may notice small imperfections. Please feel free to reach out if your item arrives damaged or cracked. Product cannot exceed temperatures above 160 degrees Fahrenheit or be left in direct heat or sunlight. Not dishwasher safe.
